Over the last week or so we have had a small number of complaints (quite rightly) regarding cans of Breakfast in Luxembourg – the espresso stout we produced way back in February – which have sadly exploded. We are obviously very concerned and disappointed by this outcome and are currently investigating what the possible cause might be, by sending the cans away to an independent laboratory for full tests to be carried out.
Any findings will be applied to our future canning procedures to ensure no possibility of a repeat.
This has never occurred in any other batch of cans (we have been canning for over 3 years, so we are talking tens of thousands of cans) and the issue has been restricted to less than 1% of the cans which further confounds it.
