This year's dark lager release from Padstow Brewing co is both darker (in colour) and lighter (in flavour and body) than previous releases. The dark brown appearance belies the crisp refreshing taste achieved through a slow cold fermentation. Subtle hints of darker malts add interest without overpowering the delicate hop character. When you demand satisfaction, it has to be Pistols at Dawn.
This beer is unfined, unfiltered and suitable for vegans. It contains barley and wheat but has had the gluten removed to <20ppm, and so is labelled as Gluten Free.
